Festival

In June 2006, the Foundation Guacamaya on the coffee plantation Los Tarrales a festival organized on the theme of birds and the Mayan culture. Participants of the festival were the students of the local school, and students from five other "coffee school". The Activities included workshops from different birds, a play about a family migrating birds, a weefdemonstratie, and the embroidery of birds. The lunch meal consisted of a soup prepared with products from the local garden chickens.

In August 2007, the Foundation Guacamaya a festival celebrated around the opening of the museum Guacamaya. The participating children were given the opportunity to participate in a workshop on the jaguar, and endangered birds, they were accompanied by a birdwatchers bird watching in the area of the museum, and also they could tinker and signs. The aim of the festival is to give children a fun and educational day at a time to give, in addition to the project activities to present to interested parties.
