Membership organization

The board of the foundation Guacamaya consists of:

• Marcel Linnemann, Chairman
• Moralidis Ewan, Vice-Chairman
• Peter de Groot, Treasurer / Secretary
• Hilda Garcia Lopez, Member
• Marko Jansen, member

The board determines the content and implement financial policies of the Foundation, including the advice of the Director of the Foundation. The board assesses the accountability of the Director on the progress of the project.

The daily affairs of the foundation is under the responsibility of the Director of the Foundation: Michael de Groot. His job includes writing more out of the newspaper Guacamaya and liasing with the executive people in Guatemala, the donors and other fund providers in the Netherlands. Annually, he visits projects in Guatemala to evaluate this promising new projects and to possibly detect. Furthermore, he organized fund-raising and educational activities in the Netherlands.
